IGF1-LR3 (Long R3 Insulin-like Growth Factor-1) is an 83-amino-acid recombinant analogue of human IGF-1 featuring an Arg substitution at position 3 and a 13-amino-acid N-terminal extension. These modifications dramatically reduce binding to IGFBPs, extending in vitro and in vivo half-life. It is studied in preclinical research for IGF-1 receptor binding kinetics, PI3K/Akt and MAPK anabolic signaling, myoblast proliferation, and tissue growth models.
